FAQs About STI Testing

According of NHS, 50% of men and 70% of women who are infected show no symptoms in the early stages of infection. The reason for testing is that symptoms may only occur once the infection has become more severe with a higher likelihood for irreversible damage

Tests results can take an average of 3-5 working days before the full set is available. Each test will indicate the average time it takes to get the results back

Positive results will be attended to by our clinical team, where possible a prescription will be provided. For more complicated conditions, additional testing and/or a referral to a more specialized provider may be required

Bookings can be done directly on this site. Simply select the test/s you would like and select your preferred location. Once payment has been made, you will receive a confirmation email with additional booking information within the next 90 minutes

The general answer is no, but medical aid benefits differ significantly. To be sure, it is best to check directly with your medical aid on whether the tests are covered. As a general rule, most non-emergency procedures are not covered by medical aid or come out of your medical savings (this is just your money, kept by the medical aid and not an actual benefit)
