Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea Testing – Get Tested South Africa

Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea Testing

What types of tests are available?

For Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea Testing, you would provide a urine sample and that will be tested in a lab. This is a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test.

You can choose to have the test done by any medical practitioner or you can purchase your prescription and lab test from Get Tested. Your doctor's prescription from our registered GP is included in the price, which makes this more affordable and convenient than going to your doctor for a script.

How does the test work?

Testing is done with a urine sample at one of our SANAS accredited labs. You would need to go to your nearest lab (we'll give you this information) or we can arrange for a nurse to pick up your sample.

How long do results take?

We have the fastest turnaround time for laboratory tests nationwide and results are typically available 12-48 hours after the test.

Can both men and women have this test?
